Travel Grants

Travel grants will be awarded to 12 early career researchers who are working and living in
a low and upper-middle income countries by World Bank.

The Travel Grant covers the early bird registration fee of SEK 6160 and a contribution of up to SEK 13 500 towards travel and accommodation.

Deadline for Travel Grant application is 30 April, 2026.
Eligibility criteria

Applicants must:

  • Submit an abstract as first author. 
  • Be a registered PhD student or postdoctoral researcher within 5 years of having received a PhD.
  • Be a PhD student or postdoctoral researcher at an institution of higher learning in a LMIC and being a resident of a LIMC.

How to apply

If you intend to apply for a Travel Grant, this should be indicated in the abstract registration system before the Travel Grant deadline 30 April, 2026.

Send the following documents as a single pdf file, presented in the following order:

    • Your abstract as first author, according to the guidelines on the Call for Abstracts page
    • Proof of Status: PhD student or postdoctoral researcher within 5 years of receiving a PhD
    • Curriculum Vitae

Applications should be sent by e-mail to the EPICOH Conference Secretariat: EPICOH2026@akademikonferens.se with “EPICOH Travel Grant” stating in the subject line. Deadline for application is 30 April, 2026.

Assessment and notification

Applicants will be notified via e-mail by late May, 2026.
